That's what I was trying to say with it as a valid topic, it's not really 'canon' so it's kinda silly to freak out over 'vampire rights'.

I found it a bit unbelievable that the US would ever be able to 'revoke' the most basic rights in a world full of superheroes who'd be the first to step up and go "What the hell? You can't just make someone a non-person"

Which makes me a bit leery about the whole thing, as it just sounds silly. Racism can turn up in RP sure, but this a bit too Anvilicious

I like you.

The combination of this statement, your sig quote and your sig pic leads me to believe you wake up in the morning and jizz in your shorts.

Oh wait, this isn't the Volcano. Uh...and that's a very anti-heroic thing for you to do! There, now it's on topic, yeah. >.>

I believe the main right in contention would be the right to not have sharp objects punched through their hearts and/or be thrown into daylight simply because they're undead. Some people, referred to in the local slang as "vampire hunters," seem to believe vampires lack such a right. It's a rather controversial issue among Transylvania's senators and rep.'s.

YEAH WELL IF THEY DIDN'T WANT A STAKE IN THEIR GORRAMN HEARTS MAYBE THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE TRIED TO BITE MY NECK.

Hey, you were clearly asking for it, wearing your shirt collar all low and slutty. We could all see you strutting your throat around with your pulse out. Ho.

Just sayin'.

Oh man I remember when a shock "DJ" (from the 1960s, y'know) moved to television and said, word for word, replacing "vampire victim" by something else (and you know what I mean and I know what I mean so we're not going to say it since it's not the Volcano) what you just said.

The media backlash was hilarious.

Also, you are advocating popped collars. THIS DOES NOT FLY.

Actually advocating turtlenecks, but this reminds me: why is a popped collar a bad thing? I don't normally wear shirts that way because there's no real point, but I'll put up the collar of my jacket to help keep my neck warm when it's cold. So what?

For those people questioning the vampire rights stuff: Stronghold from 5th Edition had a blurb in it -specificially- denying ANY undead ANY kind of rights, but the new Champions Universe (6th, the current stuff) has this:

"A number of Supreme Court rulings have stated that the Fourteenth Amendment’s guarantees of due process and equal protection do not apply to sentient aliens, extradimensional entities, artificial intelligences, and the undead, because they are not “persons” under the law. On the other hand, they do apply to mutants, mutates, clones, and genetic constructs based on human stock. Congress has, however, passed laws granting at least limited rights to all “independent, freewilled, sentient entities” in American territory."

Thats where this stuff comes from. Live by canon, die by canon.

DCRP is currently up to 45 members and has been more calm and cool than CRP for a while now. Hope the difference has been notable for the people still over on CRP. I have characters on either channel, but no one on both.
