As some of you know I have a severe case of terminal altism. Two characters have been growing in my mind for awhile now.
1st: Icarus
Im not sure if people have seen many Icarus characters around but I imagine its a rather popular name. Mine I think is kind of fun however as it is THE Icarus. Having died for his hubris by flying to close to the sun, Icarus went to Hades like almost all Ancient Greeks. King Minos died in legend by having boiling water poured over him after trying to find Icarus's father Daedalus. Minos then became a judge of the dead in Greek Mythology.
My idea is that in Greek mythology gods are often over-thrown by there sons. Minos is one of the numerous sons of Zeus and one of great importance. In the game, he could figure some way of tricking or escaping Hades with the thought of domination of the world and eventually Olympus. He has a grudge against many gods. He was always at odds with the Athenians and by spurning Posiden his wife spawned the Minotaur. he could also concievibly feel betrayed by Zeus that after his help in the early years he seemed sturck with misfortune. (in reality his own hubris and cruelty)
Icarus could be risen from Hades as a mockery to his old enemy Daedalus as well has the Minotaur and any number of od Greek creatures. Icarus would be made the unwilling thrall of Minos, acting somewhat like the Silver Surfer, paving the way for his coming.
I really like this idea as it could potntionally involve other players when Minos finally arrives.
And just as a disclaimer: this isnt inspired by that new Percy Jackson thing. I've always loved Greek Mythology and have had wanted to do Icarus forever. Your thoughts?
2nd: I want to do a big daddy inspired thing. Im not sure what thought. I know I want it to be either a heavly enhanced human/sub-human/alien/what have you. This is purposely open for anything so I can potentionally create a story around that.
He is Big Daddy inspired, but I dont want him to be a ripoff. He's like a Big Daddy in the sense he's enhanced to the fact he can no longer be human and that he has a very specific goal/reason for his creation. Any help would be appreciated.
