A street level hero group would be a really refreshing spin on it I think. Taking the fight to the doorstep of Viper's seemingly legal front companies. Weakening Viper from the ground then letting the heavy guns mop up ie you guys

Yeah, that's the idea. It also is open to low-level toons, meaning if you have a desire for a fresh new character, the group becomes a perfect fit.

It can just evolve from there, as toons get more experience, or fresh spots open in the parent group (Genesis League) some cross over in the groups will happen to.

I just need someone to lead the thing. I don't want to lead both groups, I'll participate in the second but would look to someone to lead the other group.

Well, tell me, Chaos... do all the GenLeague meetings go like that?

Our meetings are hit and miss, mostly miss. They are the least popular event of the three we run each week. I really like them actually, I find they provide an outlet for team dialog and introduction of new hooks, but many of the other players tend to shun the event.

Yeah, sorry, I didn't think I would be going to Cony Island today. XD I was out driving, it was nice so it was just a moment. o-o Next thing I know I'm driving home and it's 10:40! xD

Because @monsterkill13 is retiring from the game, we're going to be open for recruitment again soon.

I'd like to add two more members and will be posting a recruitment drive later this week. I will be around this weekend for anyone interested in joining us.

I haven't been online for a few days as I take a break. Now I have a bad flu bug likely will not be online tonight either.

However this weekend, I will touch base with some of you who have expressed interest, to get you into the group. We have a big RP event on Sunday evening as well, which you will be welcome to attend.

The primary plot point at this stage is: a DNA hybrid using the ancient DNA of a dragon named Geiskivaro has begun to decay, (you may remember Geiskivaro being mentioned in the paper VIPER supplement Champions released a few years ago). The decay of this individual (a creature dubbed 'Lord Venom'), has begun to worry Osprey. Against the direct orders of the sole financier of Genesis League, Osprey has decided to help Lord Venom survive, (even though Lord Venom had actively plotted against Genesis League in earlier issues).

In order to push his plan through, Osprey threatens to blackmail Herman Bloom, (the financier of Genesis League). Although Bloom calls Osprey's bluff, the artificial intelligence that runs Genesis League's operations and security refuses to allow Bloom to self-destruct and allows Osprey to take over Genesis League entirely. The reason the artificial intelligence gives? She has fallen in love with Herman Bloom and does not wish to see him harmed.

Will Osprey save Lord Venom? If he does, how will he do it? How and why can artificial intelligence fall in love with a man? What is the secret Osprey is using to blackmail Herman Bloom?

Holy crap! o-o And all this happened last Wednesday? XD

It was supposed to all happen last Sunday, but being Eastern Sunday only Ranger and I logged in. So I just wrote what was supposed to happen last Sunday into the IC thread, and rolled it into this weekend's event instead.

That's why I was so bummed last Sunday was a bust, I had several characters in place to deliver nifty plot hooks.

This Sunday, hopefully we'll be brawling - and adding the next "episode" to this.

And Mongoose time for you to GM something - lets talk about you running an event next Wednesday for us, I think I have an idea.

Daawwww, but I GMed 2 weeks ago. o-o It's Sky Viper's turn now! xD

Too many of the views were bailing out halfway, so I thought if I shortened it, this would improve that stat.

But yeah, we all got less face time out of the deal.

After a brief hiatus, Genesis League goes back online tonight! We invite all members and any non-members interested in getting involved to join us for Issue 11 tonight at 7:30PM Eastern!

Tonight's episode swirls around the fact that Osprey's arch-nemesis, "Lord Venom" is dying - and Osprey has decided to defy orders to save him.

It promises to be a night packed with smack and attack, so why not be there?

It can be tough to play out a defeat, a genuine defeat in RP. We did exactly that though on Sunday, as poor Genesis League got their rear's handed to them by Lord Venom. It was all due to Osprey being "merciful" and attempting to save Lord Venom's life.

So kudos to the group for going along with a story that ended in defeat and with Genesis League weaker than when it started! Now, Lord Venom is loose and more powerful than ever.

I was on business in Washington DC all week - and Genesis League events suffered for it.

I am back now and we will be running our regular Sunday RP event at 7:30PM Eastern (4:30PM Pacific). Not exactly sure what story/GM we will pursue, but there is plenty of options out there.

So hope to see you there and I'll post more regularly as the league gets back into a normal schedule.
