"In 1999, a crack commando unit was established by PRIMUS for the purposes of waging a covert and highly specialized war against VIPER. This unit was given the functional name of "Strikeforce: Ghost Hound," and was allowed access to any special weapons, advanced armory and cybernetics they needed to carry out their task. At the center of this Unit would be military masterminds Lt. Col Hannibal "Commander Wraith" Fischer and Master Gunnery Sergeant Ryan-Armando "Bulwark Rhino" Cole. VIPER quickly became aware of the operation and was able to expose and frame the unit for warcrimes they didn't commit. The unit was sentenced to a military maximum security stockade and later escaped into the Millenium City underground. Today, pardoned by the government for their work in the Qularr Invasion, they make their living as Soldiers of Fortune. They use the resources they gain to pursue revenge against VIPER and clear their name. So if you have a problem, and if no one else can help, and you can find them, maybe you can hire Ghost Hound."

Indeed The Entirety of Ghost Hound is comming to Champions Online! Some will be comming in tow later around Sept and Oct when they upgrade their systems, but this will be a Full SG move!

After much success in City Of Villains, (including making it into the Top 100 SGs on Virtue) we are definately moving to Champions. So what are we about? Ghost Hound is an Independant Ex-Black Ops Merc Company that consists of people who would not ordinarily have Superpowers using Special Weapons, Cybernetics and Tactics, as well as some Magic, to go against, compete with and beat super-powered threats. We are Cyberpunk and Shadowrun by theme, are acceptant of elder races and anthros (Manimals Primarily), and while we discount magical beings and "X-Men" style mutants, we do accept those with Magical and Psionic Powers. Our focus tends to be on Street-level Dark Hero and other underdog themed characters, more on Humans and X-Files style than X-Men style mutation. Basically, if you can make your character using the Shadowrun 4th Edition Rules + Sourcebooks, it's not too hard to get in.

We are a light-hearted Medium Roleplay Group with a focus on Teamwork, with zero tolerance for drama and politics that normally come with RP. Afterall, we're mercs, not courtesans.

Seeing as Champions has far less instancing than CoX, our tune will have less emphasis on Covert Ops and more emphasis on being "Cybernetically Enhanced Cowboy Commandos with Hi-Tech Gagdets and Power Armor". A good comic book comparison of Ghost Hound would be War Machine, Batman, Punisher, Constantine, and Nick Fury's S.H.I.E.L.D. Other ( more accurate) Sources would be GI Joe, the A-Team, Taskforce Valkyrie, Solid Snake/ Metal Gear, Dominion Tank Police and Appleseed.

In City of Heroes, our biggest enemies were the forces of oppression; Arachnos, The Council, and Crey. In Champions online, our biggest enemy will be VIPER. Our goals are to become the Super-powered GI Joe to the Super-powered Cobra of the Champions universe (in a matter of speaking.)

Waaay back last year, I was Eviscerator Carridan. One of those nobodies. As usual, Kazz recruited me, but I heard about the group through missioning with a member I can't for the life of me remember the name of. Good peoples. I think Ced and Wraith talked all of once, though I'd love to remedy this with any character I might bring to GH!

Glowy goggles, grey powerarmor, cybernetic shoulder? Those things probably don't ring a bell. Pretty common, eheh.

well we would be happy to have you back, we even formalized out No Drama Policy, The VG is meant for fun and and we do our best to make sure that we kill drama dead with a hatchet, a 105mm howitzer, 5 grenades and a MOAB!

Champions is 24 Hours from Early Start. Servers go up at 10AM Pacific / 1PM Eastern.

For about the first 1-2 hours the game is up, we are not going to have a Supergroup, so, since we still do not know Cryptic's stance on servers we recommend a few things.

First is, if you don't have it already, get ventrilo and use the vent server to keep in touch, even if you don't have a mic. To gain access to the vent server, Sign Up for Ghost Hound at our GP site. It is posted as a Forum title in our Members Only Section. I'll be checking Applications to the site anytime I have downtime, so if your app isn't immediately accepted, please be patient!

If you don't want to do that, once you get in game, Right Click your chat tab, and go over and join 2 Channels: CORP and ShadowNetwork. It's through these channels that we'll try to keep track of who is in game, and who needs invites to Ghost Hound, once the game is Live and we have the Supergroup up and running. Also, Valkyrie and Ministry will be be using these channels as well to get their people into their respective groups. Just let us know in ShadowNetwork which one you want to put your toon in.

Hmmm.... My character Domino is kinda based on a pistols adept I used to have in ShadRun a long while back so I might just have a chat with you about this group.
